Pictures of Coloured Ryeland sheep. Quite often, people tell us that our sheep are really cute. Being our sheep, obviously we think they’re very cute too. It’s also said that Coloured Ryelands, being darker in colour and woollier than most sheep, are often referred to as “teddy bear sheep”.
Being a naturally friendly bunch and so “teddy bear like” in appearance, they’re very photogenic and it didn’t take long before my brother Matty (who happens to be an artist), started to sketch them whenever he came to visit.
Looking through Matty’s artwork one day we thought it would be lovely to be able to offer his “cute sheep pictures” of our flock going about their business against the stunning backdrop of the Galloway Hills. After all, no home is complete without a sheep picture.
